Learn from Experienced Lo'i Rebuilders this Saturday (8/3) in Kapa'au

Saturday, August 3rd Lo'i Work Day
With a dream of restoring lo'i (taro patches) in every ahupua'a on all major island, Onipa'a Na Hui Kalo is a group sponsored by Queen Lili'uokalani Children's Trust that works around the state to revive ancient Hawaiian agriculture.

This coming weekend, Onipa'a is sending over 100 representatives from neighbor islands to "Kokua Kohala." Anyone interested in learning from these experienced lo'i rebuilders is invited to join in a lo'i workday Saturday, August 3rd, from 7:00am-4:00pm, with a luau dinner to follow! Just bring a sack lunch, gloves, change of clothes, and friends!
